At a glance

Shinjum is an AI reading service used without sign-in or registration. Profiles, original face photos and detailed landmarks, readings, and chat history are stored in the app private SQLite database on the device. Original face photos and detailed landmarks are not sent in AI requests.

1. Controller

Knowch operates the Shinjum mobile app and website. Contact: choi.sh@knowch.co.kr

2. Information processed

  • Profile: name, birth date, solar or lunar calendar, birth time, and current condition for readings and conversation context.
  • Face information: selected photo and on-device summarized signals for face-reading content.
  • Consultation information: reading type, dream description, questions, replies, saved readings, and selected oracle.
  • Device and connection: random installation identifier, IP address, request time, app version, and security logs.
  • Payment and advertising: product ID, hashed purchase token, order ID, entitlement status, consent, and ad interaction data.

3. Device storage and AI transmission

Profiles, original face photos and landmarks, readings, and chats remain in the app private SQLite database. AI requests never include original face photos or landmark coordinates. A reading may use a birth-chart frame, age band, summarized face signals, dream content, recent questions, and compressed prior context.

4. Retention and deletion

Device data remains until the user clears app data or removes the app. AI requests and responses are processed only while generating a response, and AI Gateway input and output logging is disabled. The server retains only minimum transaction records such as hashed purchase token, order ID, product, and entitlement status. Payment and entitlement records are retained for five years, and consumer complaints or dispute records for three years, then deleted or de-identified.

5. External services

Cloudflare provides Workers API, Workers AI, D1/R2, and security. Google provides Google Play verification, Google Mobile Ads, and UMP consent management. Coupang and affiliate sellers provide product pages. Information may be processed where each provider servers are located.

6. Your rights

You can edit profile information and face photos in the app, and delete device data by clearing app data or removing the app. Privacy questions: choi.sh@knowch.co.kr
